Program Highlights & Changes:
  • Full-Timer Coverage Surcharge has been lowered. What does that mean?
    • Provides liability protection for insureds who use their unit as their
    • Primary residence for at least 6 mos of the year, making our policy similar to homeowners’ coverage.
  • Age of Unit Surcharge has been eliminated.
    • No longer surcharge on units 3+ years of age at policy inception
  • Reduced rates for Class B and Class C Motor Homes.
  • Travel Trailer Replacement Cost Settlement Option Surcharge has been reduced.
    • Available for units 0-2 model years in age
  • Numerous discounts offered.
  • Lower Motor Home rates for married insureds 51 to 62 years of age. (IA)
  • Coverage available on a wide range of motor homes and travel trailers …including medium duty units used to tow fifth wheels. (MN)

DP-2 AND DP-3 RISKS AT ACV!!!!!! (IOWA)
Effective 12/01/07 New Business Effective 01/01/08 Renewal Business Program Changes:

  • You may now choose to insure your DP-2 and DP-3 risk at either replacement cost or actual cash value
  • Seasonal risks may be written in the DP-3 program
  • The primary policy forms have been updated to the 2002 ISO edition, which automatically includes 20% Fair Rental Value or Additional Living Expense in the DP-2 and DP-3 programs.

Underwriting Changes:

  • A combination of fuses and circuit breakers are now acceptable in the DP-3 program
  • Lapses over 30 days must be submitted for prior approval.
