INACTIVE modernLINK USER IDs TO BE DELETED
As part of an ongoing effort to strengthen our security posture, starting on July 8, 2008, all modernLINK users who have not changed their passwords within the past year will be considered inactive and therefore deleted.

If you, or someone you know have not logged into modernLINK within the past year, please do so before July 8. You will then be prompted to change your password.

The Midland Company values a strong security posture that protects our partners' and customers' information, which they have entrusted to us. Deleting inactive IDs is required for system security.

Later in this calendar year, Midland will begin an automated process to delete inactive users on a monthly basis. We will post detailed information on modernLINK's News portal as we near completion of this new feature.

If you experience difficulty while trying to login to modernLINK, please contact your Profile Administrator.

SCOOTERS —
AN ALTERNATIVE TO LOWER FUEL COSTS
Scooters - With gas prices pushing $4 a gallon, drivers are looking for alternatives to lower their fuel costs. One option is to switch to a scooter, which can get 75 to 120 miles per gallon.

You may well be asked to quote coverage for a scooter. Remember,
  • We treat scooters just like street bikes
  • Quote it on modernLINK
  • Our rates are competitive
  • All usual discounts apply (homeownership, completion of a training program, loss-free renewal, insuring multiple units).
Scooter Safety
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is beginning to offer a training program specifically for scooter operators, in addition to their well-known motorcycle training program.

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Web site also includes a thorough safety and riding guide for scooters.
